Early Start Program Costs

The optional Early Start Program (ESP) is a one-week, credit-bearing experience in France or Spain that jump-starts language immersion, cultural understanding, and city navigation through hands-on learning, excursions, and early housing. Students can register for ESP in their initial application or by emailing enroll@iau.edu.

The following financial policies apply to all IAU study abroad campuses and programs.

FINANCIAL POLICIES

All fees are due by the published payment deadline stated above. Failure to meet the established payment deadline may result in application cancellation or program removal.  Such program cancellations or program removals are subject to the cancellation policy as stated below. 

Students must have their financial accounts paid in-full before they are permitted to move into program housing, attend classes, or participate in any official program-related events or activities.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Invoices are issued directly to students via email, unless a prior billing arrangement exists with the student’s home institution. All payments must be received by the invoice due date. A $300 late fee will be applied to overdue accounts. Students with outstanding balances (excluding documented financial aid) may be unable to complete course registration, move into program housing, attend classes, or participate in any official program-related events or activities.

IAU is committed to making studying abroad a reality for students who otherwise may not have the opportunity and leading the industry in breaking down the cost barrier to study abroad. Through a robust offering of merit scholarships, grants, and need-based assistance for its semester, summer, and J-Term students.
